
7th Graders earned an extra recess as a reward for having the least minors in our No Minors Contest. Way to go Class of 2030!!









NHS is hosting Chuck-A-Duck at the basketball games tomorrow night! It will be during halftime of the varsity boys game! Bring a couple extra dollars to participate and donate to a great cause!


High School students from the Relationships and Parenting class last semester completed a felt board story book final project and read their stories to elementary students. The younger students loved having guest readers in their class and listening to the books.








Last week Tank got to visit some behind the scenes places at the University of Iowa Health Care with the Engineering Services team. Engineering services is the hospital maintenance team and they do a lot of work making sure everything is in working order both inside and outside!






Tipton had a GREAT day at the SEIBA honor band auditions at Fairfield HS. Sophomore Noah Johnson made first chair tuba in the HS band while 8th graders Aislyn Smith (clarinet) and Logan Borseth (euphonium) made the JH band. 7th grader Kai Kruse made it to the 2nd audition round.





Mark those calendars. Coming up we will be having a benefit night at our home basketball games on February 11th. This is all to support a past Tipton student so order those t-shirts and be ready to come to the game!

Mr. Copp's 8th Grade Science students completed a project-based learning activity "Pumpkin Chunkin", as a part of their unit on force and motion. For this project, the students were asked to research, design, and construct an original Pumpkin Chunkin device that could successfully chunk a candy pumpkin the greatest distance possible. The students then competed to see whose device could chunk their pumpkins the farthest. The top 3 groups were:
1st Place (28.7 meters) Levi Bodecker Blaine Merritts-Armey, & Kasen Carney
2nd Place (14.2 meters)- Hannah Oliver, Jaclynne Driscoll, & Lakyn Noard
3rd Place (13.9 meters)- Jordyn Brasmer





Before break our SEBH team hosted a wonderful Holiday Housewarming event! There were snacks, games, and lots of big smiles!

This week Tank the Tiger got to visit Tipton Ambulance Services. He saw paramedics, EMTs, and ambulance drivers. Thank you for all you do for our community!!
