Our special olympics athletes competed hard at Prairie High School last week. While none of our students advanced to State, they still had fun and enjoyed some success.
Tipton’s upcoming Fine Arts performance, Tipton Parade of Bands, is set to include a special guest artist, the band Scrap Metal. Scrap Metal is part of the 34th Army Band based in Fairfield, Iowa. The 34th Army Band is the music unit of the Iowa National Guard and tours schools and community events as part of the Army’s outreach for recruitment and patriotism. Scrap Metal will play before the concert as well as between bands. The concert is March 4th at 7:00PM in the Middle School Gym.

The TMS swim team competed at their first meet of the season tonight at Williamsburg. Make sure to come cheer them on at their home meet next Tuesday, February 4th! Go Tigers!

Congratulations to Braydon Calonder for some impressive finishes at the Mississippi Valley Conference Swim Meet yesterday! He earned all conference honors placing 5th in the 50 free as well as on the 6th place 400 free relay. He also finished 7th in the 100 free and 200 free relay. Braydon is back in action on February 8th for the Districts at Dubuque.

Students in Mr. Roos'/ Mr. Walsh's Art of Anatomy 2 class use the full range of the new windows at the high school to see their skeleton drawings through another sheet of paper.
Some 7th Graders at recess are doing Knee Nerf Football. A group of them made rules, teams & regular season games. Playoffs started yesterday as the 0-3 Chiefs got a huge upset, beating #1 seed Bills! It's Double Elimination so no one is out...yet. So fun to watch!!

Last week Tank got to visit the Tipton Public Library. He helped pick out books for story time, then listened to the stories and colored with kids. He also helped order new books!
